How to Make Green Tea Latte

You can make a cup of green tea latte with Sothian Green Tea Latte Mix. I use the Aerolatte® Green Tea Latte Maker to make a nice foamy froth. If you are not the kind of person who enjoys froth on top of your latte, this is not necessary. It still tastes good without the froth.

Ingredients:
6oz milk(or soy, almond, etc)
1 Sothian sleeve or 1 Tablespoon(14g) of Green Latte

Direction:
1. Add hot milk and whisk in green tea latte mix until dissolved.
2. Froth the milk until foamy (optional)
3. Pour into a cup and enjoy!

Sothian Tea Recipe: How to Make Strawberry White tea

1. When you are ready to make a cup of Strawberry White tea, all you need is one of our tea sleeves. Just open a tea sleeve and pour the tea leaves into the tea filter.
2. White tea is delicate. You need to maker sure that the water temperature is not to high. If there is not any thermometer around you, pour hot water into the cup and leave it for 3~5 minutes. The temperature will be lowered enough to steep white tea.
3. Add the tea filter into the cup and allow your tea to steep for 2~3 minutes.
4. Remove the tea filter from the cup after steeping.(if left it in the cup too long, it will leave a bitter taste)

Enjoy your Strawberry White!

Yoga today was really challenging

Yoga today was really challenging. Our instructor, Joseph is focusing on inversions. Yes, inversion, upside down. So from the beginning of the session our yoga poses were to lead to doing inversion. It was some workout. After doing what it seems like infinite numbers of planks and vinyasa flows I was exhausted. I also learned that I have not been doing my warrior and other poses correctly luck for me Joseph is a great yoga instructor. He is brutal but all worth it. I could feel it all over my body. Since I been practicing yoga I feel so much better. My ability to focus, my posture has improved so much, but the best part, my sleep. I was so exhausted I actually once fell asleep when I was doing shivasana. That’s when we’re supposed to rest and focus and oneself, I focused on sleep….

After this rigorous workout, I wanted something cold so I could cool down, did I mention my yoga is hot yoga. Well in this 30 degree weather, when spring is supposed to be here by now, I was reluctant to drink iced cold anything. So I decided to brew myself Awakening, black tea with a touch of mint. I was little nervous about taking black tea in the evening but I didn’t let it steep too long, less than two minutes. The flavor and the smell of mint were so refreshing. It was like a little cooler for my body. Thanks Joseph for great yoga practice and Awakening for quenching my achy body. A very nice way to end my evening.

Girls’ night

Last night was girlfriend steak-night for me and my friends. Three of us are anemic, but why gag on iron supplements when we had a good excuse to chow down on beef. I know it’s a bit barbaric, but we don’t do this too often.

When four women get together, we have endless topics to discuss; from our government going in sequestration to why our waiter was not happy. The evening started as the temperature dipped down to downright chilly. As soon as we were seated, one of us warmed up with a neat scotch. To keep up with her, we ordered a Silverado Merlot but, that went quickly so we ordered another that went down just as fast. The Porterhouse for three was succulent, medium rare and slightly well on the outer edges. The desserts were gooey and the coffee refills never ended. We laughed and we talked…till our night out came to an end or so we thought.

Outside, fresh snow wet our hair but didn’t dampen our spirits. We should have parted, but we went to sing our hearts out at karaoke until the new day began. Well, this morning my body is little frazzled. I shouldn’t have had the cappuccino in hindsight, but when we were served bad coffee, our waiter suggested cappuccino. I couldn’t resist a final cup.

It kept me all night and this morning I looked and felt like I over- indulged. My stomach butterflies convinced me I’d regret more caffeine, so I opened our newest addition Butterscotch. Believe me, I didn’t want anything that even hinted at scotch, but the warm inviting smell of caramel comforted me in this chilly morning with its slight fruit note at the finish.

My belly and mouth aren’t ready for food yet, but welcome tea. Thank goodness this is rooibos. I don’t need any more caffeine in my system. Can it be that I can’t indulge caffeine in the evenings anymore? All I can say is that this Butterscotch is buttery… it’s going down smooth and makes me feel that it’s coating my little bruised body. Girls’ night out? Absolutely, we must do it soon, but not too soon. Thanks ladies, I had a blast!

Oscars 2013

Oscars 2013.    This year, I feel like all the celebrities were so kind to each other.  There were endless praises for their peers as they accepted their Oscar.   Nice!  And I loved Jennifer Lawrence, her dress, her sense of humor.  What a charming woman.   She brushed off her little fall and accepted her Oscar with a class.   She was totally worthy of an Oscar.  Loved it!   Full disclosure, this was only movie I saw among the nominated films.

Enjoyed the evening with Chocolate Passion as I watched celebrities who seems have deprived themselves of sweet indulgence to fit into that perfect dress.  What shame, they didn’t know about Chocolate Passion, the chocolate and raspberry aromas were flirting with me.  What love! (I didn’t add any milk or sugar, so zero (0) calorie!)  It just hit the spot as I dreamt away writing my Oscar acceptance speech, just in case I win…
